We are very pleased with the opportunity to have had the RSP Ambulance Simulator built into our new Nursing and Allied Health Building. As we have strived for realism with moulage and programmed patients, I anticipate the simulator will be an excellent adjunct to teaching in that it will allow us to replicate an overall feeling of reality. Prior to their ALS field experience on actual ambulances, simulations will provide an environment for students to develop conceptually and allow them to function in “the environment.” Possibly most important, simulations will help make learning more fun! Simulations will certainly become a greater part of our teaching methodology in the future.
